From the earliest ages, people told stories to pass the time, to impart wisdom and values and just for fun. Presently there are many storytelling devices, from the printed word to radio, television, and computers. But none involve the intimate sharing of story, when our imaginations paint pictures and nothing comes between the story and us.

The themes and truths in folk and wonder tales resonate in the hearts of all of us drawing us closer together in shared experience. No matter what our cultural background is or who our people are... they told stories.

“There have been great societies that did not use the wheel, but there have been no societies that did not tell stories.” - Ursula K. LeGuin

My story bag is packed, I’m ready to light the lantern, pour the rain stick and weave stories in the quiet whisper of your imagination. Step over the threshold of the here and now and come away into the land of story where anything can happen!

Stacked Hands denote the handing down of stories from generation to generation, the passing around of stories from one culture to another, the diversity of our stories and the common threads that weave us together, and the extraordinary way stories bind us together in empathy and understanding.

Let the story come Then let it go
To touch the heart OF someone else
